2025 Vuelta a España Stage 6 - Thursday 28 August - won by Jay Vine

The first mountain stage of the Vuelta a España 2025 saw Australian and UAE Team Emirates-XRG rider Jay Vine cross the line in 4:12:36, a comfortable 54 seconds ahead of Torstein Træen in second and Lorenzo Fortunato in third.

The 29-year-old launched an attack on the Alto de La Comella and held firm to seal back-to-back stage victories for his team. Jonas Vingegaard, for the second time, ceded the red jersey, this time to Træen — who becomes the third Norwegian to ever capture the maillot rojo.
