2025 Vuelta a España Stage 6 - Thursday 28 August - won by Jay Vine

The first mountain stage of the Vuelta a España saw Australian and UAE Team Emirates-XRG rider Jay Vine cross the line in 4:12:36, a comfortable 54 seconds ahead of Torstein Træen in second and Lorenzo Fortunato in third.

The 29-year-old launched an attack on the Alto de La Comella and held firm to seal back-to-back stage victories for his team.

Jonas Vingegaard, for the second time, ceded the red jersey, this time to Træen, who becomes the third man from Norway to ever capture the maillot rojo.
