2025 Vuelta a España Stage 7 - Friday 29 August - won by Juan Ayuso
It proved to be home delight for Juan Ayuso of UAE Team Emirates-XRG, the Barcelona-born rider who launched a decisive attack with 11 km to go and took the win in 4:49:41. Crossing the Pyrenees border from Andorra’s capital back into Spain, Ayuso sealed his first ever victory in the Spanish Grand Tour.
Ayuso finished 1:15 ahead of Italy’s Marco Frigo, while fellow Spaniard Raul García Pierna came third just six seconds later. Torstein Træen held on to the red jersey despite finishing 22nd.
