Pedersen surged past Orluis Aular for a relatively comfortable victory, with Marco Frigo crossing the line in third place.

The peloton raced home more than 13 minutes later, with Jonas Vingegaard still firmly in the lead with a 48-second lead over João Almeida in second place.
