The second time trial of La Vuelta, and the first individual one, took the riders to the Spanish city of Valladolid in Castilla y León. Jonas Vingegaard saw his lead in the GC over Joao Almeida cut by 10 seconds (40") in stage, which was won by Italy's Filippo Ganna as the INEOS Grenadiers rider pipped Jay Vine to the stage victory.
